K9 Explorers is situated in Tauranga Bay of Plenty.
Hello I am Leah and I am a professional dog walker and certified trainer. I love taking dogs out on adventures and seeing them so happy being out in nature getting the exercise and enrichment they all deserve. In addition I enjoy helping owners and their dogs to improve their relationship through the shared language of positive reinforcement training.
I have been involved in dog rescue for 11 years, a spca volunteer for 6 years and then fostering pound puppies for a few years. My own dog is 13 year old Khan who is a large brindle rescue dog. Khan has been embark DNA tested and revealed to be 7 breeds. The top four in order being pitbull, shar pei, husky and Australian cattle dog. Khan was found dumped at only 4 weeks old and having a few behavioral struggles as a young dog he taught me so much about dog language, training and behaviour.
I am qualified through The Karen Pryor Academy after completing the Dog Trainer Professional Diploma. I believe in continuous education and am currently completing courses through the School of Canine Science.

Leah is such a wonderful person. She just loves dogs and they love her. She walks our elderly dog and he adores her. He has benefited from the training she gives during walks. Pictures and an update from every walk. Really professional, reliable and fabulous value.
My two border collies Layla and Milo totally adore Leah, she walks them weekly and keeps me updated whilst I am at work its lovely to receive photos of their adventure. She's very experienced and has a lovely calm nature
